Ask a new question. I bought a second hand machine that worked well until I had to reinstall a backup in which I mistakenly replaced all the partitions with just one.
I started getting non-genuine messages. When I tried to buy online, MS only gives Win 8 as an option. I don't want to lose what I've got win 7 enterprise and cannot find out how to do that online. How can I simply buy a legal key that will validate the existing system without risking the existing setup? Happy to go Win8 but don't want to do a reinstall nor risk wrecking my present setup which is fine other than the black screen ripped-off system.

CLearly I'm deep in the proverbial as that then cannot be anything other than a stolen version. I don't have any other system for this PC as it came already loaded and none of the disks I got with it turned out to be a windows system when I finally needed it.
So none of your other options will work for me — what can I do now to install an operating system over this one? Is there anything at all I can do to rescue all the programs and settings or am I completely stuffed? It is not available to consumers. If it originally came with another edition Windows 7 Download the corresponding edition of Windows 7 you have a license for from the following link.
